In the heart of the charming Provencal village of Cuers, Terre de Vignes is much more than just a restaurant: it's a genuine gourmet and cultural interlude nestled in a historic building over two centuries old. A former inn and the town's oldest tavern, this place full of character was even, according to local legend, a house of revelry between the wars.
Today, this historic setting welcomes visitors in a décor that is both picturesque and eclectic, where every object tells a story: exposed beams, period stonework, an antique wood-burning oven, Art Deco chandeliers, old-fashioned cinema posters, rare Soviet objects, copper utensils... A unique atmosphere, warm and timeless.
In terms of cuisine, Terre de Vignes pays tribute to the French gastronomic tradition. The rich and varied menu features home-cooked dishes prepared to order, using only fresh produce sourced mainly from local producers. There are no microwaves or ready-made meals here, just tasty recipes such as blanquette de veau à l'ancienne, gigot de 7 heures, fondue savoyarde, Saint-Jacques, sauerkraut and Russian-style stuffed cabbage. The daily suggestions change with the seasons and market arrivals, accompanied by a fine selection of French wines.
The intimate atmosphere of the dining room (just 25 covers), the friendliness of the team, and the passion of the owners - a Franco-Russian duo formed by Olga, originally from Moscow, and Stéphane, originally from Montmartre - make this place a real favourite with lovers of traditional cuisine and friendly atmospheres.
