The "Tourisme & Handicap" label in a nutshell
The "Tourisme & Handicap" label was created in 2001 in response to demand from people with disabilities. The aim is to provide reliable, descriptive and objective information on the accessibility of tourist sites and facilities, taking into account all types of disability: hearing, mental, motor and visual.
For professionals in the sector, "Tourisme & Handicap" represents recognition of their efforts in terms of accessibility, whether they have been awarded the label for accommodating at least 2, 3 or 4 types of disability.
The label is awarded for a period of 5 years.
Who can obtain the "Tourisme & Handicap" label?
Any tourist service provider (except for certain activities such as adventure parks, bike rentals and guided tours).
Obtaining the label is free of charge.
Who is eligible for the "Tourisme et Handicap" label?
The "Tourisme & Handicap" label is aimed at people with daily motor, visual, auditory or mental difficulties, as well as people with temporary disabilities and the elderly. The label also applies to those accompanying disabled people.

TOURISM & HANDICAP" SERVICE PROVIDERS IN THE INTERCOMMUNAL AREA
The Intercommunal Tourist Office aims to raise awareness and prepare local tourism service providers for Law 2005-102 of February 11, 2005 on "equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship for people with disabilities", as well as for the "Tourism & Handicap" label.
The La Londe les Maures Intercommunal Tourist Office and Var Tourisme have been developing this label in the commune since 2008.
