TOURIST TRAFFIC - VISION FLOWS
Flux Vision Tourisme is an innovative solution developed by Orange, co-constructed with Tourisme & Territoire (Réseau National des ADT), and now used by over 40 ADTs. Since 2013, Var Tourisme has been part of the national working group with 7 other ADTs, working on the development and improvement of the solution. This tool converts millions of pieces of technical information from the Orange mobile network into statistical indicators for analyzing visitor numbers and population movements. Developed in compliance with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) thanks to data anonymization, it is the subject of extensive research and development work. Segmentation (qualification of a mobile as "tourist", "resident", etc.) is carried out by taking into account billing address and length and frequency of stay.

Season review 2022
With 80.6 million overnight stays, the destination's overnight tourist stays are up +17% on 2021, and even higher than those recorded in 2019 (+14%).
In the Var, French overnight stays account for 62% of total tourist nights, and while visitor numbers are stable compared to 2021, French overnight stays are higher than in 2019 (+12%).
The 3 main French markets continue to be Ile de France, Rhône-Alpes and the Southern Region, all of which posted positive results compared with 2019. However, it should be noted that the number of visitors from Ile-de-France will be lower in 2022 than in 2021 (-3%).
