Destination d'excellence: a new label for quality, committed tourism orExcellence at the heart of our commitments
Destination d'excellence is a new label designed to guarantee a high level of quality for the entire tourism offering in a given territory. It replaces the Qualité Tourisme mark as of May 2024.
Features of the label
This label covers all the tourism players and services in a destination:
- Accommodation : hotels, open-air hotels, tourist residences, vacation villages, bed and breakfasts, etc
- Guided tours
- Catering
- Places to visit
- Sports and leisure activities
- Cellars and sales outlets
- Tourist office
- Marina
- Transport car with driver
Evaluation criteria
The Destination d'Excellence label is based on three major pillars for assessing establishments:
- Quality of service and welcome: this dimension, already central to the Qualité Tourisme label, is maintained and reinforced. It guarantees visitors a professional service, attentive listening and services that meet the expected standards.
- Eco-responsibility : this is the main addition to the new label. Evaluation criteria now include concrete commitments to sustainable development, such as waste management, energy and water consumption, and the promotion of short supply chains.
- Accessibility : the aim is to make the tourism offer accessible to as many people as possible, by integrating criteria for welcoming people with disabilities (motor, visual, hearing, mental) and thus guaranteeing an inclusive tourism experience for all.
Certification of our tourist office
Our Tourist Office is currently in the process of obtaining the Destination d'excellence label. This voluntary initiative reflects our desire to guarantee visitors a high-quality service, while at the same time contributing to tourism that is more respectful of our environment.
