Domaine Rostangue
Presentation
The hill on which the 25 hectares of the estate are spread out is at the western end of the Maures massif. A small stream rises here and gives its name to the place called "la règue des botes". The soil is composed exclusively of schist, known here as the Réal Martin blue phyllite.
This sheet rock, which resembles slate with silvery, bluish or rusty hues, is reputed to be very difficult to work and gives poor soils that are nonetheless conducive to the production of quality wines.
