Châtaigneraie Godissard
Presentation
Throughout the year, this natural and agricultural area requires rigorous maintenance: pruning, grafting, caring for the trees and respecting the cycle of the seasons. More than just an orchard, it's a living heritage, a testament to ancestral know-how that's still being passed down.
Sophie Jartoux, a passionate chestnut grower, opens the doors of her chestnut grove and offers guided tours and educational workshops for young and old alike:
- Workshops on honey in April and May
- Workshops on wild aromatic plants in June, July and September
- Workshops on chestnuts in October
- Tours of the Châtaigneraie on the last three Sundays in October for the Fêtes de la Châtaigne.
Reservations required at the Tourist Office.
An opportunity to discover the secrets of the chestnut, and also to taste the farm's products: honeys, jams and castagnade in season.
