Presentation
The largest factory, in the Barri district, was transferred at the beginning of the 20th century to the Avenue des Poilus.
About a hundred employees produced 60 to 80 million corks per year.
Iberian threats were felt at the end of the 19th century and foreign competition in the 1940s/1950s affected these factories.
The Pierrefeu du Var factory closed in 1971. It is now an exhibition centre.
