An exceptional vineyard overlooking the Mediterranean!
At the foot of the Massif des Maures, the vines literally plunge into the Mediterranean. Here, the schist mountain slopes gently down to the sandy beaches bordered by pine forests, offering a unique setting between sea and hills.
Facing the Gulf of Hyères and the famous Golden Isles - Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant - the vineyard enjoys a breathtaking panorama and an ideal climate for producing exceptional wines.
An unspoilt, diverse terroir
The Côtes de Provence La Londe vineyards extend over 30 estates in 4 communes:
Bormes les Mimosas, La Crau, Hyères (including the island of Porquerolles) and La Londe les Maures.
This terroir comprises 4 types of soil: soils on phyllades: stony and shallow, colluvial soils on slopes with more or less stony phyllades, colluvial soils in collapse zones with quartzite, sandstone and phyllades pebbles, and ancient alluvial soils with quartzite, sandstone and phyllades pebbles.
This marriage of minerality and maritime influence gives rise to elegant, refined wines of character
- Rosés, with their pale color, seduce with aromas of vine peach, apricot, grapefruit, guava and passion fruit. They combine freshness, roundness and minerality.
- The whites reveal finesse and vivacity, with notes of citrus, apricot and white flowers.
- The intense purple to garnet-red Reds reveal a fruity bouquet (blackberry, strawberry, kirsch) enhanced by spices (vanilla, licorice),with silky, ripe tannins. They will gain in finesse and elegance with ageing.
