An unspoilt terroir..
Like a schist mountain tempted to dip its feet in the sea, the Maures massif rises gently, languishing on a sandy beach fringed by pine forests.
The vines have found a perfect setting here, facing the sea and enjoying an intoxicating panorama of the gulf and the golden islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant.
More than 30 estates spread over 4 communes: Bormes les Mimosas, La Crau, Hyères (including the island of Porquerolles) and La Londe les Maures.
This terroir comprises 4 types of soil: soils on phyllades: stony and shallow, colluvial soils on slopes with more or less stony phyllades, colluvial soils in collapse zones with quartzite, sandstone and phyllades pebbles, and ancient alluvial soils with quartzite, sandstone and phyllades pebbles.
Wines of undeniable elegance..
In all three colors, the coastal character marks the wines with its finesse and elegance.
Rosés are always very pale, aromatic (vine peach, apricot, grapefruit, exotic fruit, guava, passion fruit) with a fine balance between minerality and roundness.
The subtle whites are beautifully fresh, with notes of citrus, apricot and white flowers.
Red wines range in color from crimson to dark garnet, with fruity (blackberry, kirsch, strawberry, etc.) and spicy (licorice, vanilla, etc.) aromas and tannins
tannins. They will gain in finesse and elegance with ageing.
