InPierrefeu-du-Var
Your walk begins at Dixmude, a monument created to pay tribute to the crew of this airship who left from the Cuers-Pierrefeu air base. After a visit to the tourist office to pick up a map of the village, climb up into the heart of this hilltop village and head for the Sainte-Croix chapel for a panoramic view of the vineyards surrounding the village.

Pedal the trails in total freedom
Grab your bike, or rent one from one of our professional rental companies offering home delivery , and set off on the Véloroute V65. The starting point for thiscycle route,which crosses 20 coastal towns from Six Fours to Saint Raphaël, is the town center of La Londe les Maures. You can head east to Bormes-les-Mimosas, Le Lavandou and its seaside, or west to the Presqu'île de Giens, the old salt marshes, Toulon...
If you're more of a road biker, there are cycle-touring circuits to climb the passes around Collobrières, or to survey the Gapeau valley from Cuers.

Take advantage of the summer shuttle
Every summer, a free, air-conditioned summer shuttle runson a circular route to the town center, port and beaches, as well as to numerous campsites, vacation homes and tourist sites.
Travel by bus or train
In the Porte des Maures Mediterranean region, you can easily travel to many destinations on the ZOU bus network, which costs from €2.10.* There's a €0.40 surcharge on buses, so remember to buy your ticket in advance.
With this regional transport network, you can discover Toulon and its military harbor, Saint-Tropez and its Provencal village overlooking its magnificent bay, Le Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer and its superb garden inviting you to travel by the sea, as well as many other towns!
Then get on the TER at Toulon or Hyères totravel the Var by rail. TER lines take you as far as Marseille on one side and Nice on the other, so you can extend your discovery of the Southern Region during your stay.
And in the Provence Méditerranée region, the Mistral bus network provides easy access to Hyères, Toulon... and the area's commercial and cultural centers.
