- to all categories of tourist accommodation all year round,
- on overnight stays for people over 18,
- it is instituted, collected and used by the Méditerranée Porte des Maures community of communes,
- it facilitates visits to the resort, its frequentation and the smooth running and development of local tourism,

Important information
The rates applicable since January 2023 have been increased by an Additional Regional Tax intended to finance a new regional rail line: the New Provence Côte d'Azur Line.
One of the major projects of the Southern Region, this is the largest rail project of the 21st century, and is essential for the inhabitants of the Southern Region, as well as for leisure and business tourists: not only for getting around the region, but also for reducing the CO2 footprint and improving air quality.
Three of the region's départements are concerned by this tax: Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône and Var, and everyone is involved in financing this new line:
- The State, i.e. the taxes of all French citizens, finances 40%.
- The European Union finances 20%.
- The local authorities finance 40% (part of which comes from their own budgets, with no increase in taxes for local residents, and part from this additional tourist tax financed by overnight stays, i.e. by tourists).
