This method will enable you to reconnect with yourself, regain your self-confidence, serenity, energy and physical and mental well-being in your daily life, as well as in the upheavals and events of life. The aim is to stimulate your internal capacities and resources to re-establish a balance between your body and your mind.
Sophrology uses simple tools that are accessible to everyone (children, teenagers, adults, senior citizens):
- controlled breathing that allows you to connect with your feelings
- muscular relaxation that encourages the body to relax
- visualisation of positive images that uses our 5 senses
Become a player in your own well-being and get to know yourself better by using this wonderful and simple tool. Sophrology can be put into practice in your everyday life, in complete autonomy when the need arises.
The first session lasts an average of 1? hours:
I begin with an interview which allows me to get to know you and understand your needs in order to define your objective and propose a personalised protocol. This is followed by standing or sitting exercises, using gentle, simple movements, combined with breathing and positive visualisation. A time to express yourself freely about your sensations, your bodily, emotional and mental feelings experienced during the practice. At the end of this first session, you'll choose your exercises to do again at home until the next session.
For the following sessions, which last between 1 hour for an adult and 30 to 45 minutes for younger people: the session begins with a time for you to talk about your experiences between sessions and to find out how your training went. Then there's time to practise the exercises and visualise. Then there's time to talk freely about your feelings and sensations during the various exercises. At the end of the session, you will be asked to choose exercises for your training up to the next session.
To be effective, relaxation therapy requires regular practice if you are to feel its benefits. It is repetition that amplifies the effectiveness of your practice and progress towards your own goal.
