Sainte Marguerite in Provence
Presentation
The story of Château Sainte Marguerite began in 1977 when the Fayards acquired this Cru Classé property in the Côtes-de-Provence* appellation, located in the renowned La Londe terroir. Anticipating new consumer expectations, they produced rosé wines defined by their elegance and finesse, a style that continues to stand out. These visionaries are also respectful of the environment: after years of cultivating their vines in a more natural way, their wines for France were awarded Ecocert certification in 2003.
The Château Sainte Marguerite vineyard is an exceptional land of almost 280 hectares made up of 13 parcels spread over 22 kilometres, all situated on some of the finest terroirs in the Côtes-de-Provence PDO. This diversity of terroirs - including the renowned one at La Londe, facing the Iles d'Or - offers a complete range of aromas for blending Sainte Marguerite wines. This remarkable vineyard has been patiently built up over time, based on the quality of the terroirs and the selection of grape varieties.
