In order to support the tourism industry, which has been hit hard by the health crisis, a meeting was held within the framework of the "Think Var" think tank, with those in charge of the sectors in order to reflect on how to support them and encourage local consumption in the Var, before looking ahead to the recovery.
After a series of digital roundtables, bringing together tourism professionals, representatives of the agricultural and wine industries as well as the hotel, café and restaurant sector (HCR), the ADT decided to set up a campaign to support local consumption in order to encourage purchases in short circuits, not only in the department but also around the Var.
This broad campaign to promote the tourism industry is based on three themes
- Local producers
- The wine industry
- The cafés-restaurants
The campaign is available in the press, on posters and in digital format:
Var Matin campaign
- Saturday, May 16: "Let's consume locally, let's support our producers
- Saturday, May 23: "In moderation, let's support our wine industry
- Saturday, May 30: "During the recovery, let's support our restaurants"
Digital campaign - Clear Channel
- In the Var, near busy supermarkets: producer spot (1 week from May 16), wine industry spot (week 2, from May 23)
- In Monaco: "Le Var, naturellement" destination spot (week 1, starting May 16) then wine industry spot (week 2, starting May 23)
- Outside the Var and neighboring departments: "The Var, naturally" destination spot (weeks 1 & 2)
