Discovery of the natural and cultural heritage of Collobrières, in the most important forest massif of the Var: the Maures massif which offers two types of landscapes:
- Forests of cork oak and chestnut trees from schistous rocks on its northern slope.
The maquis, dotted with maritime pines, umbrella pines and Aleppo pines on its southern slope.

THE ROUTE:
Start from the esplanade of the Saint-Pons church during the crystallization process.
Take the path that goes left and then a tiny path. Immediately turn right towards the TV relay station. The route goes through undergrowth (stay right), recovers a track for a moment, then immediately by a small path to the left that rises steadily. It recovers a track for a moment, leave the green gate on your right and go up on the track.
Arrived at a crossroads of several paths on the flat, leave the GR 90 to go to the right (wide path, beehive) towards the ruined mill at 200m. View on the Malière valley and the Desteou chasm from the ruined mill. Take the path that descends westwards to the Saint-Pons oratory. Continue straight ahead (west), across the embankment, on the path that runs along the ridge to a track.
Take the concrete track on the right, continue ahead (a little below) on the small path that goes up to the ridge (on the left), cross a low stone wall and then reach a collet where the path turns slightly to the left in the cork oaks, goes down and passes to the right of an impluvium (water reserve). Leave the path which descends to the right and go straight on, the route then continues to the right, descends and crosses another path.
Turn right and then left before the water tower, a path which leads to a wide track. Continue to the right.
At the next crossroads, go straight along the houses, the path becomes narrow and leads to a track, turn left and then right at the water treatment plant. Continue along the path until you reach a bridge and then the Notre Dame des Victoires church, go around it to the left and go back down the rue Jean Jaurès to reach the tourist office.
