Col de la Bigue - L'Allamande
Contact details
Presentation
From the Col de la Bigue, climb up to the Barres de Cuers, an impressive line of limestone cliffs. After reaching the crests, the route offers a gradual descent towards Allamande.
The Barres majestically dominate the Cuers plain. From these spectacular heights, you can enjoy an exceptional 360° view over the Haut-Var, the Massif des Maures, the town of Hyères and the splendid Îles d'Or.
All along the way, your senses will be awakened by the typically Mediterranean flora, combining the refreshing shade of the forest with the heady scents of the scrubland and garrigue.
TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Bring hiking boots or trainers, water, hat or cap.
- Always keep up to date with the weather conditions.
- During the hunting season, stay on the marked trails.
- In an emergency, call 112 for help.
- It is forbidden to drive or park motorised vehicles on DFCI roads all year round. From June to September, before driving in the Var mountain ranges, check the opening conditions on the fire risk map (updated at 5pm every day for the following day) or by calling the tourist office.
