Stele inaugurated on 14 September 1941 by General Laure, Secretary General of the Head of State, who was visiting Cuers to preside over various patriotic ceremonies, with the presentation of a pennant to the Legion section.
It is located in the Pont de Pignans district, where Chief Warrant Officer André Hourcade's plane was shot down on 15 June 1940. It is a marble stele on which a metal palm is fixed.
At the top of the stele, wings, symbolising aviation, are sculpted and form one with the cross.
