Guided tours are available for visitors and schoolchildren to discover more about the history of this 16th-century fort.
Following an itinerary of several exhibition rooms, the tour covers various themes in keeping with the island's heritage and the values of the National Park: the architecture of Fort Sainte Agathe, the history of the island of Porquerolles, the island's flora and fauna, and the missions of the National Park. The tour ends at the top of the artillery tower, with a study of the surrounding landscape. This last stop will allow you to take some superb photos of the Hyères roadstead.
This guided tour also includes a visit to the Moulin du Bonheur, which is open exclusively for these tours.
Guided tour of Fort Sainte-Agathe and its exhibitions, including the permanent exhibition "Porquerolles, une île à vivre" (Porquerolles, an island to live), landscape reading at the top of the tower and discovery of the territory and missions of the Port-Cros National Park (approx. 1h30).
Visit the Moulin du Bonheur: Situated above the village, 200 meters from Fort Sainte-Agathe, the Moulin du Bonheur has been restored by the Parc National de Port-Cros and represents the very type of Provencal windmill (approx. 30 minutes).
