This itinerary is part of a network of itineraries entitled "Equi-découverte network" set up by the Var Departmental Council. This network comprises 450 km of itineraries open to the public, between land and sea, and is designed to help people discover the Var on horseback.
Discover the Maures massif in spring and autumn with its typically Mediterranean vegetation, cork oaks, holm oaks, arbutus, myrtle, heather, rockrose, rosemary and lavender. Discover its adaptation to the summer drought, with its small, often tough, thorny or downy leaves... its fragrant plants... In winter the Maures massif presents a characteristic aspect: its evergreen foliage. Massif open according to prefectural authorisation.

STATIONING:
Fire station parking on the D14 towards Collobrières town centre.

THE TRAIL:
White and green signposting and directional posts.
On the D14 enter the town of Collobrieres.
1- At the "La Capelle" post, take the "Pierrefeu la Portanière" route. Follow the discovery trail for 2km.
2 - Arrive at the Camps Bourjas reservoir. Tie-up bars await your mounts with wooden picnic tables for your meal. Take advantage of the peacefulness of the place to admire the local fauna and flora. Go back following the paint markers
3- After 2km after the RD 41 west post, go towards the "Grand Gageai". After 2,5 km at the post "Valcros D'Aumeran", take the road by the "Grand Gageai" for 5km. Admire the sublime view of the sea and Mount Faron.
4- Cross the RD88 at "Chamadou", take advantage of the hut to rest and have lunch and continue for 6km.
5- At the post "Issemble Beaussenas" take "Pierrefeu la Portanière" for 1km.
At the archery field car park, cross the D14 and walk along the vineyards for 2 km in the direction of la Portanière.
6- Enter the track and follow the main direction " Chemin de Maraval ". After the Hameau de la Tuillière, take the direction of " Rouves ".
7- Enter the track on 7km from " Cogolins ". 3km after " Saute Maraval " take the direction of Baudisson on 2,5km.
After 5km, cross the D14 and arrive at the starting car park.

Itinerary suitable for adults and good riders from 10 years old.
