Every year in autumn, at chestnut harvest time, Collobrières becomes the chestnut capital of the Var. The Fêtes de la Châtaigne, the village's flagship event, is back for three festive Sundays on 12, 19 and 26 October 2025!
Artisans, producers, artists and local enthusiasts will be on hand to help you discover authentic know-how, exceptional products and living traditions, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Sunday 12 October -Varois Producers' Day:
A day dedicated to the best of our local produce in the Place de la Mairie. Pascal Baradoni at the controls of the brazier for a unique menu! Locavore tastings of local produce prepared by the chef.
Free admission.
Tastings with the purchase of a €15 "Gastronomy Pass", on sale on the day.
- Sunday 19 October - International Day:
10:00: Parade of delegations from twinned towns: Frabosa Sottana (Italy), Pujerra (Spain) and the Italian delegation from Sassetta, representatives of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for France in Marseille, Confréries, folk groups and Italian flag-wavers.
10:30am: Solemn Mass
All day, glass-blowing and wood-turning demonstrations in the Place de la Mairie
- Sunday 26 October - Craftsmen's Day:
Festival des Vieux Métiers: presentation and demonstration of old-time crafts with the Giens 1900 association and wool working with the Ferme du Lambert.

Free guided tours to discover the natural and cultural riches of Collobrières:
"Cork and chestnuts, then and now", with Mélanie Robeau: Saturdays 4, 18, 25, October at 10am and Wednesdays 22 and 29 October at 10am.
"Meeting the trees", with Vincent Blondel: Saturdays 18 October and 8 November at 9.30am.

- The Collobrières geological museum opens its doors on 12, 19 and 26 October, from 9.30am to 1.30pm and from 3pm to 6pm.
PRATICAL INFORMATION
- Car parks are available at the entrances to the village (cost: €2/vehicle).
- If you are arriving from Pierrefeu-du-Var, La Londe-les-Maures or Bormes les Mimosas, shuttle buses will be running from the West Car Park. A footpath from the car park will take you to the village.
- Vehicles and bicycles are prohibited from entering the village for the duration of the event.
- A dedicated car park for buses and people with reduced mobility (PRM) is available on the west side of the village. Buses must be booked in advance at the town hall: 04 94 13 83 83.
- A free car park for motorhomes has been set up to the east of the village. We strongly recommend that you park there no later than the day before the event.
- Access control will be carried out at the entrances to the village (search and pat-down).
- We strongly advise against bringing pushchairs and animals (especially dogs).
- Make sure you have enough fuel or battery power to get around.
- Bring cash, as the village has only one cash dispenser.
Important: vehicles and motor homes are strictly forbidden to drive through the village on the day of the event, and on the following Monday.
